Service Fees

A reservation is required to use our services.  The service fee varies in the following categories: passenger fare, support for boarding/disembarking, agency services, and rental assistive devices.  At a minimum, the passenger fare category alone can be applied, however, the basic boarding/disassistance fee will be added in case of wheelchair/stretcher user ride.

Passenger Fare

There are two fare plans: mileage-based (meter) fare and hourly-based (hired car) fare. Which fare plan you choose depends on your purpose, destination, route, road congestion, time of day, whether or not to use the expressway, etc. We will run a simulation using Google Maps and provide you with the results of each as an estimate. Fleet Information

Toyota Noah Welfare Van

Toyota Noah special purpose van vehicle - The capacity covers five (5) passengers. Customized to accommodate wheelchair and/or stretcher users for comfortable transportation.

Wheelchair or stretcher passenger is boarded from the rear via a ramp. When getting in and out of the vehicle, the slope is set about 10 cm lower than usual, which makes the slope more gradual and less stressful for boarding.

The interior is designed to be spacious. There are a total of three passenger seating patterns.

A. First Ride Fees can be found in our vehicle dispatch reservation system. The first-ride fare is a package fare that includes a pick-up fee, first-ride fare (up to 1.1 km), and the Boarding assistancefee. However, the fare portion will vary depending on the route to the destination, distance, time of day, and congestion.

A. In addition to mileage-based fare using the cab meter, there is a chartered ( hourly fare) fare structure. The rate is for the first hour, then in 30-minute increments. You can check the rate for the first  hour by clicking on "Check Availability".

A. If you know exactly when you would like to be picked up, it is possible to make separate reservations for the trip to and from the airport. Standby service is also available for the cases where the end time is not clear, such as a hospital visit, but a standby fee (100 yen per 30 seconds per minute) will be charged.

A. These cabs are classified as "limited welfare transportation operators (vehicles)" under the law. The main differences are whether long-term care insurance is applied to the fare, whether government welfare services such as Welfare Taxicab tickets (subsidy tickets) are available, and whether the driver is qualified to provide assistance such as a helper. All of these cabs are designed to help people with mobility impairments get around.

Business Inception

I had a time when my father had difficulty walking because of stroke and had a chance to use a welfare taxicab to help transportation from a support facility to a hospital.  I was impressed by the sense of security and felt that I would want to operate a nursing care transportation service company that provides such people with a sense of security, which was found to be so crucial for disabled and handicapped people to stimulate socialization.

Nursing-care related experience

To learn nursing-care skills, I have worked at a nursing care facility, an in-home nursing care house, and a taxi company for a total of more than 3 years, where I provided support for persons with disability to travel, transport to/from hospitals and schools, on board with Hiace, N-BOX, Melfa (large-size bus).  I have been providing a ride for wheelchair users and individuals with a cane for paralysis, and intellectual disability.  As a side job, I worked as a driver of school buses for Kanagawa-Pref. Children's schools. 

Qualifications

Second-class automobile operator license (standard and large-size vehicle), Japan Automobile Federation class-A racing driver license, Home helper level-2, Guide helper (general and intellectual disabilities), Certified Patient Transportation Professional, and Basic Passenger Transportation Operation Manager

As a bilingual professional, I worked in English-speaking countries (U.S. and Hong Kong) for a total of 5 years, and I also worked for international organizations  (Reuters, Gartner, Hewlett-Packard) for more than 30 years where English is the official language.

(適用範囲)
第1条当社の経営する一般乗用旅客自動車運送事業に関する運送契約は、この運送約款の定めるところにより、この運送約款に定めのない事項については、法令の定めるところ又は一般の慣習によります。
2 当社がこの運送約款の趣旨及び法令に反しない範囲でこの運送約款の一部条項について特約に応じたときは、当該条項の定めにかかわらず、その特約によります。
(係員の指示)
第2条旅客は、当社の運転者その他の係員が運送の安全確保のために行う職務上の指示に従わなければなりません。
(運送の引受け)
第3条当社は、次条又は第4条の2第2項の規定により運送の引受け又は継続を拒絶する場合を除いて、旅客の運送を引き受けます。
(運送の引受け及び継続の拒絶)
第4条当社は、次の各号のいずれかに該当する場合には、運送の引受け又は継続を拒絶することがあります。
(1)当該運送の申込みがこの運送約款によらないものであるとき。
(2)当該運送に適する設備がないとき。
(3)当該運送に関し、申込者から特別な負担を求められたとき。
(4)当該運送が法令の規定又は公の秩序若しくは善良の風俗に反するものであるとき。
(5)天災その他やむを得ない事由による運送上の支障があるとき。
(6)旅客が乗務員の旅客自動車運送事業運輸規則の規定に基づいて行う措置に従わないとき。
(7)旅客が旅客自動車運送事業運輸規則の規定により持込みを禁止された物品を携帯しているとき。
(8)旅客が行先を明瞭に告げられないほど又は人の助けなくしては歩行が困難なほど泥酔しているとき。
(9)旅客が車内を汚染するおそれがある不潔な服装をしているとき。
(10)旅客が付添人を伴わない重病者であるとき。
(11)旅客が感染症の予防及び感染症の患者に対する医療に関する法律による一類感染症、二類感染症、新型インフルエンザ等感染症若しくは指定感染症(入院を必要とするものに限る。)の患者(これらの患者とみなされる者を含む。)又は新感染症の所見のある者であるとき。
第4条の2 当社の禁煙車両(禁煙車である旨を表示した車両をいう。次項において同じ。)内では、旅客は喫煙を差し控えていただきます。
2 旅客が当社の禁煙車両内で喫煙し、又は喫煙しようとしている場合、運転者は喫煙を中止するように求めることができ、旅客がこの求めに応じない場合には、運送の引受け又は継続を拒絶することがあります。
(運賃及び料金)
第5条当社が収受する運賃及び料金は、旅客の乗車時において地方運輸局長の認可を受け、又は地方運輸局長に届出をして実施しているものによります。
2 前項の運賃及び料金は、時間貸しの契約をした場合を除いて、運賃料金メーター器の表示額によります。
(運賃及び料金の収受)
第6条当社は、旅客の下車の際に運賃及び料金の支払いを求めます。
(旅客に対する責任)
第7条当社は、当社の自動車の運行によって、旅客の生命又は身体を害したときは、これによって生じた損害を賠償する責に任じます。ただし、当社及び当社の係員が自動車の運行に関し注意を怠らなかったと、当該旅客又は当社の係員以外の第三者に故意又は過失のあったこと並びに自動車に構造上の欠陥又は機能の障害がなかったことを証明したときは、この限りでありません。
2 前項の場合において、当社の旅客に対する責任は、旅客の乗車のときに始まり、下車をもって終ります。
第8条当社は、前条によるほか、その運送に関し旅客が受けた損害を賠償する責に任じます。ただし、当社及び当社の係員が運送に関し注意を怠らなかったことを証明したときは、この限りではありません。
第9条当社は、天災その他当社の責に帰することができない事由により、輸送の安全の確保のため一時的に運行中止その他の措置をしたときは、これによって旅客が受けた損害を賠償する責に任じません。
(旅客の責任)
第10条当社は、旅客の故意若しくは過失により又は旅客が法令若しくはこの運送約款の規定を守らないことにより当社が損害を受けたときは、その旅客に対し、その損害の賠償を求めます。

Origin of the company name

BridgeMAIT was originally established in December 2012 as an IT management consulting firm.
 
MAIT, which is included in the company name, refers to the integration of information technology systems (IT) in mergers and acquisitions (M&A).  Our mission is to serve as a bridge between different cultures in IT integration projects to complete M&A entirely.
 
The accessible taxi business was launched with the desire to take the role of closing a gap between the right to freedom of movement and the physical limitations that prevent this right.

Flow of Reservation

1. Question and advice (free of charge)

Reservations are required. Please contact us by phone or inquiry form. If you have any questions regarding assistance for getting in and out of the car, or if the pick-up location is outside of Yokohama City or after business hours, please contact us. If the pick-up location is outside of Yokohama City or after business hours, or if you have any other questions regarding the service. Please feel free to contact us. If you need a quote, please let us know.

2. Check availability (free of charge)

Once you have decided on the date and time of your planned visit, please click the "Check Availability" button at the top of the screen → click the "Make Reservation" button on the menu of your choice, and check the availability from the "Select Dates" table. 180 days ahead time slots and the fees required to arrange for car dispatch can be checked at any time. Please note that simply clicking the "Reserve" button does not make a reservation. Please call us if your pick-up location is outside of Yokohama, if you wish to use the service outside of business hours, or if you are in a hurry.

3. Reservation (online or by phone)

1) Press the "Check availability" button at the top of the screen.

(2) Select your desired plan from the menu

3) Check the "△" mark for available time slots from the calendar in the "Schedule Selection"
4) Press the button marked "△" for the desired time slot.

(5) Press the "Proceed with Reservation" button to proceed with reservation registration.

(6) Enter payment information and reservation details (pick-up destination, pick-up time, etc.) and click the "Confirm" button.

(7) A confirmation e-mail is sent to the e-mail address you entered to complete your reservation.

*Only the cab dispatch reservation fee will be applied to the " professional transportation service for persons with disabilities dispatch reservation" menu. Service Fees on the day of the service are to be paid on site.

 

For reservations by phone

(1) Call the phone number listed at the top of the screen

(2) The operator or driver's cell phone will connect you to the operator or driver's cell phone, and you will tell them your preferred pick-up location, date and time, and destination.

3) We will tell you the confirmation of your reservation over the phone.

*The reserved time slots are immediately reflected and blocked in the schedule selection table in the "Check Time Slots Allocated" section, so no other reservations will be made.

We will pick you up at the time and place reserved. We accept various types of credit cards as well as cash for payment.

5. cancel

Cancellations for online reservations may be made with a full refund up to 3 hours prior to pick-up time by clicking on the link in the confirmation email sent at the time of reservation. Cancellations made less than 3 hours prior to pick-up time will be subject to a cancellation fee in accordance with our cancellation policy, regardless of whether the reservation was made online or by phone.
